Bringing December is a unique musical duo making Lo-Fi Bedroom Pop music remotely from different states in the U.S. Bringing December’s producer and instrumentalist, Matt Klee, utilizes experimental texturing and electronic layers to create nostalgic, lo-fi tunes. In combination with lyricist and songwriter Nerys Apple’s smooth, versatile vocals and intimate lyricism, the duo cultivates a sincere and evocative sound through their music.

Bringing December’s members have known each other since high school, but began making music together in 2019 when Matt approached Nerys about collaborating on a song for the first time. With a YouTube release in January 2020, the pair released their first song as the duo that would eventually become Bringing December. Since then, the pair have grown immensely in their musicianship and joined Boneyard Records as a new act in March of 2026. They look forward to releasing their debut project under the Boneyard Records label.

Matt Klee brings his multi-instrumentalist background to the duo, as well as 7 years of music production knowledge, which shapes the sonic palette of Bringing December’s tracks. Nerys Apple brings over a decade of lyrical and songwriting knowledge that helps fine-tune Bringing December’s songs and gives her an outlet for diverse lyrical storytelling. The two challenge each other to form ever-more creative songs by combining their rich experience and appreciating each other’s strengths.
